The group Unlimited was formed in the early 2000’s, formally known as the JU2(Johnson Unlimited 2nd Generation), following in the footsteps of female group ‘The Johnson Unlimited’, Of Queens, NY. A very well-known group in New York and other surrounding areas at the time. They happened to be the mothers of two of the members in the group today. After the separation of the Johnson Unlimited, their sons Keith, and Jarod had a desire to want to keep singing. Coming from a very talented family, who include the Names Of Keith “Wonderboy “Johnson And the Spiritual Voices, Darrell Mcfadden & The disciples along with their mothers aunts and uncles, it inspired them to sing and take their part in the family tradition. Also growing up in their grandfather’s church, House Of Faith, where the pastor was The Late Apostle Douglas Johnson; groomed their love for gospel music. As the boys started to play and sing, they understood early that they would need some more help to be more effective. This is when they came upon bringing in their cousin Hezekiyah Bethea Jr. son of Heze Sr., former guitar and bass player for Keith Wonderboy Johnson, to play and sing with them. Also they had met a young guy out of Brooklyn by the name of Ibzan Cummings to sing and play with them as well. For a while this worked out being as though they were so young. Their biggest accomplishment as a whole was opening for Vickie Winans. The boys took a break for a while in 2006 due to members relocating out of New York. This gave the boys time to grow and mature a little. Over that time each of them took the opportunity to exercise their gifts in other musical areas. The artist they have shared the stage individually with are Alexis Spight, Blind Boys of Mississippi, The Supreme Sons, Keith Wonderboy Johnson, Darrell Mcfadden & The Disciples, SW Washington And Favor, Opening for Jonathan Mcreynolds, Kierra Sheard Kelly, The Walls Group and Even Lupe Fiasco, just to name a few. As Of Recent in 2017 Keith Anthony Carter Jr., Jarod Ervin Romain, Heze Bethea Jr., along with Kory Gee have formed together under the name “UNLIMITED”.
After releasing their debut album entitled “The Presentation” in the same year, they have been afforded many opportunities to sing and travel the east coast. The ministry grew in 2018 by adding new members Erick Sutton and later on Malcolm Ramsey) and more additions that added from
Time to time (Honorary Members). Also, they have been nominated for awards and they are the winners of the 2018 “Bring Your Best Drive Competition! Recently to date they are becoming known as the “Mint Condition” of Gospel because they are all multitalented singers musicians composers and writers who have an explosive style that cannot be ignored with now 7 releases working on the 8 all independently Unlimited realizes that there is no limit of where God can take them or what he can do for them; if they follow God’s will through their ministry. Living in a hurting and devastating world today they want to spread the message that there is yet some young men in the world that love God! Unlimited understand where their various gifts come from and they want to use them to minister to people, we encourage you to support this group of young men as they aspire to do Gods Will and spread Gospel Music in their own way.
