Abena Ruthy is an industrious woman with a strong drive for perfection in all she does. She has worked for 10yrs in the Banking Industry. Her experience in banking covers Marketing, Sales and Business Development, Communication and Events. She is now serving on secondment at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), a sister company of uniBank (Ghana) Ltd in the capacity of Administrator for the Institute

She holds a BA (English with French), Executive MBA Marketing and MA (Economic, Policy, Management) all from the University of Ghana. Abena had her secondary education at Achimota School.

Abena develops her skills in the Arts through Singing, Hosting Events and TV Shows and Motivational Speaking . She MCs both corporate and general events.

ABENA’S MUSIC CAREER

Abena entered the Gospel scene in May, 2013 and has since being very active with performances. Her Hit song Lala ft Nacy gained a nomination at the Ghana Gospel Music Awards, organised by Adom fm of the MultiMedia Group.

In the year of her release Abena shared a stage with renowned South African Musician and Worship leader Benjamin Dube at a program organised in Accra, Ghana.

In 2014, Abena shared a stage with yet another International Artiste Fred Hammond at the instance of her mentor Mary Ghansah, a renowned gospel musician in Ghana.

Her lyrics are well thought out and prayerfully selected for every composition. She believes her audience deserve the very best thus she does not rush to churn out songs.

With the solid backing of her current label, Incredible Entertainment, she is gradually carving a niche for her soft, silky and soothing voice

CURRENT WORKS

In 2014, Abena released three single after signing unto the Incredible Entertainment label, namely:

• Lean on God
• Prayer
• Ayeyi (Praise)

These singles are part of an album to be released mid year.

TV SHOWS

Incredible Entertainment produces two TV shows which are hosted by Abena Ruthy. These are:

• Women of Destiny Show, aimed at empowering women and
• Gospel Live, aimed at showcasing great works from the Gospel Industry.
